Clay

Ceramic bowls and a small ceramic jar with black liquid, possibly coffee or tea, on a white surface.

I first fell in love with ceramics in 7th grade, during Mrs. Purcell’s ceramics class, where we spent ‘Beatles Fridays’ working quietly to Eleanor Rigby. It was my first experience of flow—happily creating alongside others. Today, I still find joy in every stage of working with clay: collaborating, experimenting, being in community with, and learning new techniques.‍ ‍
