I first fell in love with clay in 7th grade, during Mrs. Purcell’s ceramics class, where we spent ‘Beatles Fridays’ working quietly to Eleanor Rigby. It was my first experience of flow—happily creating alongside others. Today, I still find joy in every stage of working with clay: collaborating, experimenting, and learning new techniques.
